We have introduced, as the first one in Poland, the Programme of Personification of Lens Consultation (PPLC) in the treatments of removing the cataract and implanting the lens. As one of two centers in the country we perform the PHP microperimetry that allows for the most early detection of the degenerating lesions in the retina. As one of the first in Poland we started the performance of the ophthalmological treatments within the Ophthalmological Unit of the one-day Surgery. The Okulus Plus Clinic as the first centre in Podbeskidzie bought an eye CT scanner – OCT, on which we are conducting thousands of diagnostic examinations each year. We are the first centre in Podbeskidzie and the third one in the Silesia that performs the surgeries of laser trabeculoplasty aiming at decreasing the intraocular pressure in glaucoma.
The Okulus Plus Clinic belongs to a limited group of medical leaders within the ophthalmological services. There has been performed 13% of all surgeries of implanting multifocal trajectory contact lenses in Poland in our facility in 2012 (the most technologically advanced implantable contact lenses used in treating the cataract, astigmatism and presbyopia.
We organise and engage in educational-charity action, inter alia: The School of a Healthy Vision, „Your blood may save somebody’s life” and the charity action – „The ophthalmologists for Africa”.
